ith the Schloss Ahlhausen antiquarian bookshop, we have a restoration service for old books and a book research service that can search for old books for your collection or library.

There are books that are extremely rare. We recently discovered one of the last of the 200 first editions of Edmund Husserl's "Erfahrung und Urteil" that were saved from the Nazis in 1939, or the original first edition of Elisabeth Celnar's "Manuel d'Economie rurale et domestique..." from 1820, which was previously completely unknown in the libraries of universities around the world, as far as these are collected in the "Online Computer Library Center (OCLC)". Or how about Gessner's animal books in the first editions and all 5 books (4 + 1) together in an original binding from the time? There is so much to search for in old books and how we would love to browse through the old library of Alexandria, which is no longer possible, and yet Umberto Eco's "The Name of the Rose" shows that there may be more to find than you think...
